Phosphatidylclholine (PPC) Therapy

Improving Overall Health with PPC Therapy

What is Phosphatidychloine (PPC)?

PPC, a primary dietary source of choline, is composed of a phosphate group, 2 fatty acids, and choline. Derived from PPC, choline is an important for metabolizing fatty acids and transfers them in and out of cells. Also, PPC contains ‘good fat’ which can help break down cholesterol and slow hardening in the arteries.

However, the low levels of PPC in the human body can lead to health problems. PPC helps transport fat out of the liver and kidneys, blocking proper metabolism. Studies have shown that lack of PPC can cause fat to be trapped in the liver and LDL (bad cholesterol) cholesterol to escape the cell membranes and increase the risk of heart attack, angina, and stroke.

Problems associated with low PPC include:

  • Fatty liver and kidneys
  • High Cholesterol
  • Hardening of the arteries
  • Risk of heart attack, angina, and stroke

Why Does PPC Work?

PPC helps maintain proper transfer of fatty acids in and out of the cell membrane. However, it also keeps LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) from getting outside the cell and into the blood flow. Damage to the cell walls by free radicals, toxic substances and detergent weaken it, allowing LDL cholesterol to accrete in the veins and arteries. This results in plaque buildup and is a major contributor to strokes and heart attacks.

An infusion of PPC can help repair this damage. The traditional treatment is administering oral PPC supplements. Yet not enough PPC is absorbed in the liver to ensure repair of the cell membranes.

Our Phosphatidychloine (PPC) Treatment:

Our staff of trained RN’s and specialist can administer an intravenous PPC treatment. This liquid solution is more easily absorbed by the body than oral supplements. This treatment is done in our clinic and will not take up much of your time.

More In Formation about Choline and Phosphatidychloine (PPC):

Benefits of Phosphatdycloine:

Patients have seen remarkable results in relieving angina and improving circulation to the extremities, but the heart and circulatory system aren’t the only parts of the body that benefit from PPC. Patients who undergo PPC therapy not only look and feel younger, they have more energy and their overall health improves. Most people even reported an increase in libido, and men reported an improvement in sexual performance.

All cells experience an imbalance of PPC as the body ages. Providing additional PPC to the body improves the health of cells throughout the body, making them function again as they had in younger years.

What is the Function of PPC?

Choline is required for the proper metabolism of fats; it facilitates the movement of fats in and out of cells. Like Vitamin B12, 5-adenosylmethionine, and Folic Acid, choline acts in the human body as a methyl donor. As such, choline is essential for proper liver function due to its key role in the lipotropic effect, i.e., the export of fat from the liver. In the absence of adequate choline, fats become trapped in the liver, where they block metabolism. Stagnation of fat and bile eventually leads to the development of more serious liver disorders such as cirrhosis.

Choline is needed for cell membrane integrity because of the critical role it plays in the manufacture of primary components of cell membranes, such as PPC and sphingomyelin.

Choline is essential in the synthesis of acetylcholine. Choline supplementation increases the accumulation of acetylcholine which plays a crucial role in many brain processes, including memory.

PPC increases the solubility of cholesterol and thereby decreases cholesterol‘s ability to induce atherosclerosis. PPC aids in lowering cholesterol levels, removing cholesterol from tissue deposits, and inhibiting platelet aggregation. The high content of linoleic acid in PPC may be responsible for much of the benefit derived from supplementation.

Countless studies done with PPC have clearly identified it as pertinent to one’s health because of its contribution to reproduction and development, liver health, heart health, memory improvement, and physical performance. Healthy human subjects maintained on choline-deficient diets, frequently developed fatty liver and liver cell damage within a few weeks. In addition, choline deficiencies can be found to contribute to abnormal kidney function, infertility, growth impairment, bone abnormalities, and hypertension. PPC found in soybeans may lower the incidence of two leading causes of death in America, cardiovascular disease and cancer.
